 SPRING TIME CELEBRATIONS '08

   
 On the 21st of March, the municipality of Yeşilbayır invited AKDİM friends to celebrate  the beginning of spring. The programme included Turkish folk music and dance, some poems about spring , recitals by Turkish students.
Then  all together celebrated the Nevruz Feast by hammering on the anvil, crashing eggs and jumping over fire.
We also planted some new trees and then we had  lunch. This event was organized by Yeşilbayır Municipality, supported by Akdeniz University, and covered by press and television.
